Labeled as a ceremonial grade Matcha Green Tea, this green tea powder blends well in hot (but not boiling) water, with some inevitable residue left behind. The Matcha liquor is earthy, slightly bittersweet with floral overtones, the mixture of flavors soft and well-balanced. It has a beautiful green color that reminds me of Summer foliage.I enjoy the taste of the slightly paste-like green tea essence that is found at the bottom of the cup. Many, if not most of the beneficial antioxidants and minerals will be found there. The Matcha residue seems to disturb some tea drinkers but the flavor is soft, with a slightly stronger combination of earthiness and light stone fruit the main notes on the tongue.Matcha is often combined with crushed sencha green tea and toasted rice to create an especially flavorful, healthful mixture. This is an invigorating Matcha, one that I greatly enjoyed. I found it both refreshing and stimulating. If you've never tried Matcha Green Tea powder, this is a good one to sample.

I am a fan of matcha green tea, so whenever I find a good one from Japan, I am always eager to try it. This one is very inoffensive. It doesn't really have the strong grassy taste that some do, but it also isn't too bitter. It's just a pleasant, middle of the road green tea that makes for a great matcha latte.

This is a small 30g bag of Matcha, handy to refill my existing jar, it has many health benefits. We use this to boost our immune systems and especially as my Partner is on cancer treatment and needs a health kick and it's been said to be good for preventing cancer, good for your liver and heart etc so just a teaspoon a day may be very beneficial.This can be drank on it's own, I put this in my milk frother with milk and made a lovely frothy non-coffee matcha latte, it's tasty on it's own, or mixed with hot water for a tea type drink, or I also add this to smoothies and protein shakes, it can even be added to baking! It's so versatile, tastes good quality and with so many benefits I recommend this!

This matcha powder is fresh and of good quality. It blends well and has a nice, earthly green tea flavor without bitterness. While it tastes great, it doesn't really taste like a ceremonial grade matcha. I think it is more of a culinary grade which itself is wonderful at this price point. This is wholly sourced from Kagoshima, Japan and packed in the UK. It is a good value for the money. I would recommend it.

I love making matcha lemonades or iced matcha lattes and using this tastes exactly like the coffee chain drinks. It’s very distinct in earthiness and has a strong green tea taste. Very good.

This is my first time trying matcha green tea. After doing a lot of research I found that matcha green tea has variety of health benefits, like helping to prevent heart disease, type 2 diabetes and even encouraging weight loss. The test is great little bit biter but tolerable and has good smooth texture and didn’t have smell. I mixed it up with half milk and half water and only used half tea spoon as recommended. The packaging is nice and resealable and contain 30gram and cost £7.49. The ingredients is used is 100% organic. I’m really happy with matcha also I add this in my smoothies and will be experimenting with it. I highly recommend it.

This is the first time I got the matcha and made matcha tea. I love the flavor I don't have a traditional Japanese instrument so I just used the modern way. The tea tastes amazing very creamy and tastes very good and it needs to be a very small amount and the delicate taste is just amazing packing is great after the used it closes perfectly. I glad I get to try that. Very nice tea.

For those who don’t have that mixing tool thing to foam up matcha - protein bottle shaker or milk frother will just do. Matcha is very good in terms of flavour, not fish tank water as one described. It’s quite grassy. Unfortunately expensive for the amount you get, I made around 6-7 drinks and I’ve finished the powder.

It appears after a little research there is a big difference between general green tea powder and matcha and also a difference between matcha and ceremonial grade matcha. Ceremonial grade happens to be the result of much skill, from de-veining leaves to shading properly for the right amount of time and grinding into the super fine powder it is.This Ceremonial grade matcha is very good. I'm not a big fan of herbal teas but matcha i actually really enjoy. The powder is very fine and blends effortlessly in mid-hot water. It gives a wonderful light green froth and the powder its self is a beautiful vibrant green. If you do not fancy a strong taste, using half the amount suggested is still delicious.Overall delighted by this quality match tea in a resealable pouch. It tastes good and has many health benefits. Brilliant tea.

My wife likes matcha very much. The greener the color, the stronger the fragrance, and the more obvious the umami taste of seaweed, the bitterness and astringency will be correspondingly reduced. This matcha has a strong and pure tea fragrance and fine powder, suitable for baking, beverages, and desserts. 30g matcha powder is expensive. But it tastes really good.

I fell in love with this product when I visited Japan back in 2012. Japanese truly love this product and use it almost everywhere. I tried the ice cream and really loved the taste and the colour, weirdly.Since then, I was looking for matcha powder and learnt two things;They are not so popular in other countries, but Japan.They are expensive!Comparing the prices, this one is probably is one of the most affordable ones. 30 grams selling at £7.49 (at the moment of writing this review).This matcha tea came in a small resealable bag. Mine is best before 22.12.2022 (giving me 2 years before it expires).Bear in mind, once opened this tea needs to be left in the fridge and used within 2 months after opening.I’d strongly recommend to download the matcha manual (there is a scan on the back side of the pack), which will give you detailed information about matcha ceremonials in Japan and recipe suggestions.So far, I only tried the tea, following the instructions. Very easy to make and the consistency was smooth. It certainly did taste like the one I tried back in Japan. It says that it is antioxidant and helps with metabolism. It certainly worked for me.
