I’ve switched from coffee to this tea. Seriously, I’ve been drinking coffee for 30 years. I’m now obsessing over this tea. I’ve had many other teas in my time, but this one is delicious. So good in the morning with half and half and honey. I’m not kidding, it’s 1:36 am and I’m online trying to order more because I’m out...no joke I really love this tea!

My usual tea is Elmwood Inns -- Ying Ming Yunan black tea . I have a subscription for that tea that gets me a pound every two months. It is still my favorite.I purchased this Assam Black because my subscription leaves me slightly short. It comes in a resealable, opaque bag. The tea looks fine, with no sticks or other adulterants. I smells a little grassy when you smell it in the bag, but I didn't notice that once it was brewed. I steeped it for 3 minutes with one stir during the steeping (when I was in Chinatown in San Francisco that is what the woman who did a tea service for us did, so I've been doing it ever since). I don't over steep it because I don't want it bitter.I thought the tea was smooth, flavorful, and generally an excellent tea. It is a bit cheaper than my usual and will make a good tea to switch off with my usual Ying Ming Yunan. I'd buy it again.

I'm not a tea-drinker but my daughter couldn't live without it. She says this tea is the Rolls Royce of teas and worth the exorbitant price exacted for it. I buy her tea for her birthdays and Christmas, and this is her favorite at the moment.
