I was very excited to get this sampler. I've liked the limited variety of Numi teas I have tried, so I wanted to check out the others. Once I pick out my favorites, I will probably order them in bulk. It's been fun to sample one or two of these every day and see the differences.

I've been a fan of Irish and English Breakfast teas, the stronger the better. Like some of the other reviewers here, I decided to try the Numi Organic Pu-erh Tea Brick after reading The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane, by Lisa See, who is one of my favorite authors. I was very pleased by how extremely dark this tea is and it is very rich tasting -- it reminds me more of an earthy coffee. I didn't find it fishy or musty or stinky. I also found it to be mellower than Irish or English Breakfast tea, with no bitterness or bite to it. I had lately been drinking coffee instead of tea, because I just really needed the strong caffeine fix in the morning, but I like this tea so much I'm hoping I can switch to drinking this instead of coffee. I also tried the Numi Chocolate Pu-erh tea bags, but the tea bags brew a noticeably weaker tea -- so I've been adding a tea bag to my brew with the bricks just to add a little cinnamon and chocolate flavor to the stronger brew.
