Packaging wasn't great, won't close properly. Other than that's it's pretty good and makes great matcha lattes.

I'm a Matcha Virgin.Never drank it out or made it at home.So I followed Bon Appetite's instructions for preparation.I used a large ceramic bowl & metal whisk.Heated 2oz of water in microwave & while cooling,Sifted 1 1/2 teaspoons into the bowl.Whisked in water, using 'W' & 'M' motion to create foam.Complete success without recommended wooden bowl & bamboo whisk.Totally get the attraction of the ceremony of creating this tea.What I don't get is using words like Earthy to describe the taste.If earthy is code for grass & dirt, or fresh hay, (I worked on a farm. You inhale things)Then yeah, let's go with Earthy . My first thought was Get this out of my mouth I went back to square one.Warmed 4oz of coconut milk, then 'W' & 'M' whisked the Matcha back in.Much better. And now I get the crazy following.Gives you espresso energy without the jitters.

When I first agreed to try this Ceremonial Grade matcha I kind of anticipated in advance, judging by the low price, that it probably wouldn't live up to the Ceremonial Grade claims. I was correct. This definitely is not Ceremonial quality. That being said, as long as you go into the purchase knowing this, I still think this is a wonderful deal and a good quality for the price, compared to other matcha grades and brands. In my opinion, this qualifies more as a Culinary grade, which is still good for making lattes with. You can't beat the price. This matcha still has a nice vibrant green colour to it and it does not taste as bitter as some of the other brands out there. It does have some bitter notes to it and it is not as pure tasting as ceremonial but I still enjoyed my latte.It worked up a nice foam when I whisked it and it did not leave behind any clumps.I still recommend it.

I started drinking the lower grade matchas, sometimes sold for cooking, and enjoyed them quite a bit. How different could it really be from higher grades? Then, I had some quite expensive ceremonial grade matcha from Japan. It was completely different. The flavor was intensely grassy and earthy, and the color was a radiant green. This matcha is much more like that than the typical bulk matcha, but not as good. It has a bright color and a nice mellow flavor. The oxidized flavors of lower cost matcha powders are largely absent. For the price, I think this is a good compromise and a brand I would consider in the future.

This is a small 30g bag of Matcha, handy to refill my existing jar, it has many health benefits. We use this to boost our immune systems and especially as my Partner is on cancer treatment and needs a health kick and it's been said to be good for preventing cancer, good for your liver and heart etc so just a teaspoon a day may be very beneficial.This can be drank on it's own, I put this in my milk frother with milk and made a lovely frothy non-coffee matcha latte, it's tasty on it's own, or mixed with hot water for a tea type drink, or I also add this to smoothies and protein shakes, it can even be added to baking! It's so versatile, tastes good quality and with so many benefits I recommend this!

I am a big fan of authentic Matcha Green Tea. This is some very tasty tea. I have not baked with it but it is tasty just to drink a cup of it.

This is a relatively small package of green tea. I've never seen any tea sold in this form before. It is loose but not really loose-leaf. It is very finely ground and more like dust than loose-leaf tea. It is so finely ground that a regular infuser really wouldn't work so it is probably best to simply pour some in a cup and pour water directly over the tea dust in the cup. You could stir the tea before each sip and consume the actual tea dust if you wanted to. If you prefer not to consume the actual tea, it settles at the bottom or the cup. You can slowly drink most of the cup without getting the tea at the bottom in your mouth. Neither the tea powder nor the brewed tea have much of a scent.It has a nice mellow green tea flavor. There is no bitterness. It is one of those teas that tastes and feels good and wholesome as you drink it. I wouldn't call it the best green tea I've ever had but it is definitely above average and comes as a reasonable price. It's a four star product.

The flavor, fragrance and taste of the it and good. It's just a little priced up. Also note, for weight-loss the tea isn't going to help alone. You need to work out or pick up any activity, the tea will definitely enhance the weight loss but it's isn't affective alone.
