Made in Japan quality. Lovely to look at, and to touch!! Refined, yet earthy - the progression of textures from the sandy feel of the brown earth on the bottom to the smooth, green glazed area, the understated colors of the spring cherry blossom tree.. Just the right balance of everything. This is quintessential Japanese aesthetics. Thick and durable, but very light. The textured non-slip surfaces give it a very secure feel. It would probably work for MATCHA, but I might be even better for serving regular green tea, b/c the inner diameter is about 3.25 inches. For comparison, the typical tea ceremony bowl has an inside diameter that is about 4.0 inches to give you more room to maneuver the CHASEN (bamboo whisk.) Nonetheless, I love it. It would be very nice paired with another one of a different design.

This is such a pretty little coffee set and presented in an attractive satin lined box which makes it appear to be much more expensive than it is. Anyone would be pleased to receive this as a gift and it 's almost too pretty to use.

The double wall design works great for insulating the hot liquids from your hands. They also work well for chilled liquids. I was a little concerned that they may be easy to tip, but they are actually rather sturdy.

Bought the cups to match up with my newly glass teapot for scented tea. Great looking! Love the design of double glass! It’s less hand burning compare to other regular glass cups. And thats definitely the cups you need for drinking tea!
