I am very happy with it. It has a smooth, mellow taste. I would purchase it again.

Think black tea with a funky earthiness. It's probably an acquired taste. Certainly not for a tea novice. I'm amazed at how many steeping you can get with this tea... at least three. Caffeine in the first cup is stout. I would estimate that it's in the neighborhood of around 85mg (high for tea).

This is an excellent Pu'erh that is malty, rich, and flavorful. The small rounds are perfect for me to brew for a full days worth of tea for my self or a half day for myself and a guest. They are easily broken in half or into quarters and the quarter is a perfect single person amount. High quality and delicious flavor. I will be getting this again if it is still in stock when I run out.

Good quality tea. The packaging is very attractive, but I wouldn’t say it’s especially practical. Still, it works. The pucks of tea are extremely densely pressed. You have to break them into quarters if you want to get it fully steeped, and you may need to pull out a knife to get that job done since they do not break easily. If you’re the type of tea drinker who gets multiple steeps from one basket, you may find the density of these pucks a positive. Even after breaking into quarters, the center layers of the puck are still a little hard, not completely hydrated, after 5+ minutes of steeping. Excellent, full and rich flavor, though.

Exactly what I'd hoped for. It's very smooth, pleasant flavor. I enjoy having it during my afternoon break. I use my tiny tea pot and get 4-5 brews (8-10 traditional Chinese (small tea) cups from 1/2 disc, which is perfect! I will definitely order again. I also love the packaging!

This is my first pu-er order. I bought the tea for its energizing, metabolism boosting properties. I'm trying to cut down on sugary energy drinks.Initially, I was not impressed with the smell or taste of the washed brew. It has a slightly grassy, slightly fishy taste and smell. I'm not sure if slightly grassy, slightly fishy is what the tea description of earthy with hints of malt means. It could also have been the aged bamboo leaf wrapper lending the slightly grassy, slightly fishy taste to the tea.I knew how to get the tea to my liking. I brewed half a cake with about a teaspoon of dried peppermint leaves and a touch of honey to enhance the taste and health benefits. Perfection! The addition of dried peppermint and a few drops of honey greatly captured the smooth, malt, complex floral notes and a lingering honeysuckle finish.
